To Lie With the Lion
If I'm tired, weak, or sad...
My friend Rosie, relief has prepared....
See she gave me a lion....
One to hug to sleep...
Makes me feel better,
Helps me avoid a weep....
The Lion is strong,
He fears nothing at all,
If I'm holding him,
No one would have the gall...
To wake me, to sadden me,
The Lion would surely roar!
And if he seems too quiet...
Than worst my foe would have to endure....
Cause a Rose has thorns,
These far deeper than you've seen,
They cut swiftly, deeply, trust me, friend....
Don't anger this flower,
Or you'll meet your end.!!
