To Kill the Breathing Dead

If you kill something that was never once alive
How do you expect it to die?
If you take something that was never belonged
How do you expect to find its place in life?
If you find a heart and break it in half
How do you intend to put it back together?
If you wonder upon a pool of blood that was once yours
How do you expect to realize that you are no longer living?
But only something that no one but you sees
A pale look in the mirror
A face you think staring back at you
If you cannot breathe, yourself, how do you expect to kill?
To kill someone is to love everyone
To kill you is to love you too
