To Judge Thomas
Can they take back
the rights our parents earned?
Take back the Lynching
and all the houses burned?
Can they move you
to the back of the bus?
And close their doors
to most of us?
Stop us from just saying
it's not fair
When all can see
discrimination there?
All while saying
there is no hate
While one sided judges
decide the debate
Have not traitors, liars
and thieves trickled in?
Where once Providence
and justice judged their sins
Had we reached the pinnacle
of success
before the Devil could stop
our work in progress
"HE LEADETH COUNSELLORS
AWAY SPOILED AND MAKETH
JUDGES FOOLS"
Where once we were in the
right direction, but now they
change the rules.
No need for them to find out
if it's unjust of even cruel
And if you think they love
then you've become a fool
