To Inspire and Delight

If I were an animal
  I'd elect to be man
Then I could think up
  all sorts of great plans

To advance the cause 
  of my entire tribe
To inspire and delight
  -- I'd never proscribe

I'd need to compete
  that much I know
But I won't complain ~
  that's how my tribe grows
