As I go through this life
With all its pain and strife
I reach out toward the hand
Who offers the promised land
In Him, I find my true peace
Through love that will not cease
He assures my heart of His grace
Comforts my fears with His embrace
As I meet with struggles and labor
He reminds me to love my neighbor
With a love that He inspired within
When He forgave all of my sin
His light glows through the heart
With a radiance only He can impart
He reflects all the hope and belief
Showing me where I can find relief
As I reach toward the rising Son
With a hope for every loved one
I feel Him raining down joy inside
In Him, I know I can always confide
His wonder fills my life with hope
Assuring my soul that I can cope
He whispers through my every prayer
Promising that He will always be there
As I smile into the face of my Savior
Who kindly forgives my misbehavior
I know that I’ve discovered the solution
To all my pain, sorrow and persecution
He is the breath of joy and insight
He inspires my heart to delight
In the love that only He can bring
To His hand I will forever cling!
