To Hear Our Hearts Beat As One

As I sit here and ponder
About our distant love
From a land way over yonder
I can't help my mind drift off to wonder 
Can you feel my heart beating

Reaching for stars in hopes of meeting
A lady whose heart isn't bleeding
No need for us to feel like we are competing
Our words spoke right from our hearts
It's all off to such an amazing start

Brings about the kind of love 
That is as pure as the heavens above
Oh, baby, I can only hope your receiving
All the love in you that I am believing
As vast as the wide open sea
As cool as a summer breeze

With what we both can clearly see
That set our souls so free
To hear our hearts beating as one
We will have to agree
A love like ours that was always meant to be
A lifetime of memories created by you and me
