to fly and soar

  I cherish each poem written 
            born from my blood
                  and from my pen
           ripped from my soul
    i hold it to my heart with love
        kissing it farewell
  then sending it into the world
                  to fly and soar
     on the wings
                of birds 
  to drift, float, and swirl 
                        where it will
