To Cover Up My Covid Hair
swirling
whirling
gusting
winds
blowing debris here and there
walking out I need a hat
to cover up my covid hair
to stop it blowing everywhere
So hard to stand
So hard to walk
In forty mile per hour gales
I make my way down to the sea
I hear her voice she's calling me
her waves
so high
so angry
Exhilarated
I stand to watch
they nearly touch the sky
Sheer power takes my breath away
and all my negativity
sucked within her ebb and flow
so overjoyed I let it go
leaving me high
like a kite in the sky
Refreshed and cleansed
Revitalised and calm
Gazing in awe I want more and more
Her exquisite beauty personified
Then the wind is subsiding
her waves gently soften
I hear a deep sigh
~ as if she is smiling ~
