To Be Wise

After many gray days, the sun says hello
It rises with bright light through the trees
As shades of pink float in the sky above
Everything is quiet, except the woodpecker nearby
I absorb the beauty, to override questions why
So much is happening that breaks my heart
News piles up every single day
I accept with gratitude, this sight of a sunrise
                    - As I try to be wise -

Can't beat the early morning sunshine Heidi. Having a break from the news, it's too depressing, death tolls rising every day. Sadly, yesterday we lost two fine nurses. No end in sight yet. Stay safe and well. Tom

Yes the sunshine helps. The news is horrific. Thousands of cases surging in many states and deaths rapidly mounting! Please stay safe. I am sorry to hear about the nurses there. Thank you :)

Glad you see the sun, Heidi--we still have a cloudy day. Wonderful how you find comfort in nature.
