To Be What You See

In a world where all is not as it seems,
I’m with you, and you’re with me,
You take my hand and lead me down
A long and fearful road,

In a world where most cannot be trusted,
I only see you, and you only see me,
You stare into my eyes and look into my soul,
And I’m left with a longing to be what you see.
