To Be Denied and Struggle

To turn my back...
 to inwardly reap the shame...

...to lend a hand to
endure the blame...

...damned if we do...
...damned if we don't...

...to allow one suffering
in pain...your plea revoked...

...to do nothing...to repeat
the inherent source...

...to do everything...
repercussion persecution...
self remorse...

...indeed to step up...
is not a step back...

...to be counted when called
upon...low and behold...
selfless act scorned on...

...your cry for help is...
now intuitively ignored...

...we will shoulder the blame...
your future as your past...
...you without remorse or good
conscience...

...we are discarded once more...

...we shall leave you to suffer...
...to suffer together...

...together in deafening silence...

...to survive we need close
the door...
