To Baldly Go

To Baldly Go...

My ‘flowing locks’ no longer flow
They’ve all gone where I don’t know
In my mirror is a sight I hate:
That of my sadly balding pate

Follically challenged, to us the PC expression
Does nothing to alleviate my depression
At the lack of what was once there:
Beautiful shiny, lustrous hair.

Once lost it cannot be replaced
And the sad truth has to be faced
However I much I wish to not be hairless
It is the truth, nevertheless.

I guess I’ll have to count the cost
Of replacing what is lost:
Go out and find the price to pay
Of a realistic-looking toupee!
