Titanic

The Titanic set sail from Queens Town in Cork on her maiden voyage to the city of New York. Its sinking cost lives that they couldn't save now those poor souls lie in a watery grave.

Thank you very much Mike, its a tragedy that is on everyone's mind. We know it was the iceberg that sank the ships but the biggest tragedy was that there were not enough lifeboats. Thankfully the law has now changed because of it. Hope you're well Mike. Tom

Wonderful write Tom, so much said in four lines, congrats for a well deserved POTD. I visited the Titantic exhibition in Southampton earlier this year with my granddaughter and it was fascinating and very well put together ~ we were in there for hours. With kindest thoughts Ann xx

Those lost on the Titanic, will always be remembered. Dying in this way, it breaks my heart every time I see this image in my mind. Congratulations Tom, on Poem of the Day. ~ Brandy
