Tit for Tat

Tit for tat and all of that
Leaves all with less and less.
A hit for that, ‘round swings the bat
Doctor, here’s more wounds to dress!

A tit for tat, what is that?
A remedy or a curse?
Rat a tat, comes the attack
Nothing is better, but worse.

A tit for tat from ages past
Learning nothing; anger driven.
Revenge and justice here at last
Or perpetual suffering given?

Tit for tat, they grow up fast
Seeing the ways of fools.
Evil loves to repeat the past
Love has better rules.

Lives are lost when forgiveness dies
War never ends where hatred thrives.
Only peace stills infant cries
Pray love instead, will conquer lives.

An awesome write Tom. Chock full of meaning on several levels. I know you’re an intelligent being and that since the world began, there has been war, and there will be till the end of the world. People who know the Bible know that.. man blaming man for war .That is true. But to expect this insane world to suddenly turn around and be peaceful it just won’t happen.. we can be peaceful with those we know. The giant universe out there is cracked and anything but honoring God.. Pangie

Dont mind me, Tom! Death is an accelerating thing, even without wars. It depresses my heart to see little girls stabbed to death. 900 women alone were murdered in the UK last year not by war not strangers, but by husbamds or lovers! Remember the Inquisition? Today the Machete rules and far worse. Isreal 10/7~ a killing fields. I do not know the answers! But do know evil rules at an accelrating rate, i wish you a positive mind set based on the real world. Hi Pangie, thanks for your thoughtful comments. There will be wars and rumors of wars and there is the admonition to love and forgive one another. Hoping to inspire more of the loving than the cycles of violence. I should have taken more of an Ephesians 4:32 approach perhaps. I sure enjoly your amazing work, Pangie!
