Tissue Box
Though it has been five and twelve years
and you are both now tucked safely deep
in the unfathomed depths of sub-conscious
At times you still invade troubled dreams
Oozing cold sweat; wrestling unseen demons
Jolting half awake and bolting upright
(No-no-no-why-where have you gone)
I find it placed conveniently at arm's length
A trembling, fumbling hand reaches out
to grab hold and blow away memory…
