TIRED TRUTH

I veered past
Your naked soul
And glimpsed
The scars
A slipped up sleeve
Revealed truth
I never wanted to see
Quickly, my eyes averted
As I squeezed away tears
...not here...not her

The breaking
The shattering hope
Gone, as crystal in wind
Beauty inside and out
Yet not one mirror
Can convince
Torment to let go
Of a yielded soul
Willing to cut away
...sorrow...seared sorrow
