Tired of Running Away

You were born to run, so you ran You were raised not to get close, so you kept your distance Love was an emotion of little value to you, discarded easily like yesterday news You were so good at reading those soft hearts, where to go for the most vulnerable parts Feeding on their loneliness, then leaving them with empty memories of passionate nights And broken promises come morning light But I knew going in, my eyes were wide open The shallow man you were didn't faze me, you just needed someone to teach you how to love properly You were born to run, so you ran This I fully understand But I also knew that time was on the turn, and you were gonna get tired of running away one day Today is that day, today you got tired of running away The shallow man you were didn't concern me, you just needed someone to teach you how to love deeply Now that you're tired of running away, come rest my love ... Now that you've gotten so tired from running away, I welcome you into my heart to stay forever always

It is always nice to know we have one who will wait for us no matter what. Nicely expressed my friend.
