Tired

Things change from time to time
People change and grow
They cut their hair, buy new clothes
And forget what they used to know.
They move from stage to stage of development
They sing a new song
They change everyday
And discover what was inside all along.
Personalities grow and move around
And move with feelings of regret
They carry memories that linger
And things they'd rather forget.
They carry the bad days with them
And the good days as well
They carry the voices of loved ones 
And quotes that place them under a spell.
But we all grow tired at some point
And we stop carrying our load
We drop everything, shrivel, and die
With no more time for us to grow.
We fall apart every day
With burdens upon our shoulders
With heavy hearts and laden souls
And pain the size of boulders.
We become exhausted after crying for so long
And we don't want to feel anymore
So we cut outrselves away from the world
In a way filled with blood and gore.
People change every day
They move on like old movies, so sappy
Well, here's a newflash; I never changed
Just got tired of pretending I was happy.
