Tip Tap of Spirit Dog

Lucky left on Thursday a stroke Friday no tip tap in hallway Saturday no tip tap in hallway Sunday morning, we woke to tip tap in hallway "Did you hear that?" Jumped out of bed. New dog had come into the doggy door. Not Lucky, but another black dog, needing a home. It's too soon, my husband said. He took her to the vet for her shots on Monday. Was raving about her on Tuesday. Fed her chicken, beef, eggs, all the good stuff. Gave her chocolate which everyone knows not to do. New dog, Sophie, stayed at the vet overnight to get spayed. I woke up at 2 a.m. to Lucky's familiar tip tap in hallway. Jumped out of bed and ran to look. I believe she was letting us know that she is Sophie's spirit dog.

Well, this was so good that you've forced me to "fav" it. Wonderful poem; beautiful sentiments. I presently have a cat that walks like my last dog; the very same pace...maybe my last dog is her spirit friend?

I love the idea that they are all waiting for us since I have rescued over 30 animals from pounds.
