Times Past

Away back in time when I was a child I roamed the hills like a hare running wild Barefoot and brown in the green folding glen Those long ago years, I was carefree then For time meant no more than another day And days without number before me lay But time as we know will always move on The past is the past and the past is gone If time could roll back I know where I’d be Back in that glen with the hares running free
