Time's Not Long Enough

There never seems to be enough time
to do the things you want
with the person you love the most
You ask for an eternity
     yet you're given only days
The Lord has shown me the unbeaten path
For twas Her standing there staring
As the kid from across the tracks, we fell in love

Like Romeo and Juliet were we
We mixed like water and sugar; She remained the same
     constitution of beauty and grace,
I dissolved in Her ever embracing glaze

Time simply isn't long enough
     for me to love Her
But the sad thing is....
....She'll never know
