Times Like This
At times like this--
(the petting of moonlight)
(awakens in me
a deeper stillness)
reaching for a treasured
formless place
I recall
guiltless floating--
relieved of all sharp corners
(my reason for retreat)
seaside
I enter a radiant eye...
(translucent wave with center
washes over me
a safe wade from
the splattered shore)
fresh with
renewed buoyancy
I reclaim
a fluid nest....
