Timeless

Timeless And her fighting slowly weakened She was tired, and she knew As she thought about surrendering Curiosity too grew She was suddenly less frightened Actually, she felt relief All the more with every minute And against her own belief Where had gone the fear and terror? Why was there now so much peace? She felt like she’d found the fountain Like she finally got the keys And the feeling overtook her With a last breath drawn real deep She most gently and with beauty Gave in to this timeless sleep.
