Time Well Spent

Forty years of life
I have been given
opportunity has
proven open doors
for love and despair.
A cherrishable
endevor in miles
of traveling
the roads of
endearment and
timeless memories
of everlasting
desires. Correcting
mistakes issues
a new outlook
although never
knowing when I
may leave this
earth to rest with
the forgiven. Learning
daily forgiveness
to live in
peace and
love beyond
the boundaries
allowed by ones
hatred to destroy
happiness that
you have found
without them. Rather
than perjure myself
for another forty
years I can admit
my faults and
move to a higher
spirit for the rest
of my days sitting
alone in my room
