Time To Forgive

are you tired of wearing a garbage can
around your neck that weighs you
down making your shoulders stoop,
then it is time to forgive

is a good night's sleep a thing of the
past in which you toss and turn until
all your blankets fall off the bed,
then it is time to forgive

do you spend hours thinking about your
hurt that you miss out on enjoying life
which puts a smile on your face,
then it is time to forgive

on a new day as you look into
the mirror say I forgive you and
am no longer a prisoner,
freedom at last

Good advice. We all should do that more often...

Charlie, it would cause less neck aches. Thank you for commenting. ~ Sonia
