Time Ticks On
Time is never on our side, they say it is when we are young
No matter what, time cannot be stopped, shot or hung…
It ticks away in tiny pieces, we never think it will catch us
Until the day it’s nearly gone, and then we start to fuss…
Ticking away, we are ok, it’s not ever going to get me…
Ticking away, each and every day, but we never really see
Time like age we cannot stop we can not wish it back
If we could what would we change- I have nearly lost track…
What would be, if only we, had met some time before
This is heard every day not only from some-but more…
Happiness is measured by time ‘remember’ we used to say
But why must we remember, why can’t happiness be every day…?
A new friend here, a new friend, there only to lose too fast
I wonder should one make new friends, or hang onto the past?
Tick- tock tick-tock tick-tock, I wonder if it will be.
That time will let us meet-my new found friend and me…
A friend is someone yet unmet a pleasure to look forward to
All I ask is that time lets me, meet my new friend that’s you…
