Time of Your Life
For some life can be an aeroplane
Watch as it flies by
Leaving behind a thin jet stream
That dissipates with time
Others a horse-drawn carriage
As slowly as it moves
Might as well be pulling a casket
With all the good it do
There are those that ride the train of life
Steady on the tracks
Who can see the scene from side to side
But never what they've left
You can treat it like a country road
Or a major interstate
Taking it slow where'er you go
Or speed along the way
Me, I prefer life as a home
All cozy and warm inside
Where I can raise the shutters high
Or close tight the blinds
There are many ways to treat it
It's yours, do what you like
But no matter how badly needed
Life eventually runs out of time
