Time of Your Life

A stroll through memories So very quaint Time slips away Like driftwood down a stream An identity then That faded over time Replaced anew Like dew on morning leaves A love so passionate It could melt the recent snows Immortalized in memory But not in reality Feelings are fleeting With shredded pieces of heart Littering the highway Of this life At times there is bitterness And others there is sorrow But it is important To find reconciliation Old love creeps But new love blossoms eternal Indulge the past a little But let it not whittle you away In time you'll be happy For the love once shared And if you truly cared You'll wish them the same A stroll through memories So quaint Just remember to smile And have the time of your life

And if you truly cared You'll wish them the same No one thinks like that when their insane emotions kick in, but it's a tribute to your own goodness that you could write a line like that. Most would have a great deal of trouble implementing this into their think mode. Nicely penned. Impressive.
