Time Is Tick-Tick, Clicking Away

"I endlessly reach into the past; I seldom seek out the future; and I struggle to stay in the present." Quote _Constance _____________________________ Time is tick-tick, click, click, clicking, away, and memories shake the ocean of sleep; lost in a maze of tombstones black and grey, shadows on my wall of time to keep, keep. I see the beautiful bouquets in heaps, the curtains stir and I pull close the years; my life is weather stained with weeping tears, and wind is whispering through the willows. And time is tick-tick, clicking in my ears; but still I dwell with beloved shadows. ___________________________ June 9, 2020 Poetry/Dizain/Time is Tick-Tick, Clicking Away Copyright Protected/ID 20-1259-275-03 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Written for the Standard contest, Time sponsor, Chantelle Anne Cooke First Place

Beautiful dizain, with some real enjoyable consonance. Loved your message, and the quote at the head. I too struggle to stay in the present and keep my focus on the here and now. Congratulations for winning top spot in the time contest - well deserved, Constance. ~ John
