Time Is a Bleep and a Blip

Our life is like a wisp and a willow.
A bleep and a blip.
Our life review an accumulation of every moment.
It was difficult for me to understand

Until I got older. Now memories come hard and fast,
Strange little moments that had no significance at the time.
Stores, people’s faces, a weird comment, a glimpse out a window.
Time is a bleep and a blip.

Time does just keep getting shorter; I could swear today was January 4th.

I sometimes write 1970 on stuff before I remember that was a while back....

Fifty-four years ago when I was twelve, I did not realize that there is a part of my soul who will always be twelve.

And it's impossible to explain that to someone who is younger... just like we never understood or believed it ourselves. Well written, Caren.

I blink my eyes, and six years have gone by that quickly.
