Time Drifter

They collide stars to see my heart break
I watch a man stealing wishes from a fountain
so he can fill his belly
and I don't begrudge him
stardust fills my hair
and I travel that specific timeline again
shaking cosmic cobwebs from my extremities
wishing on dwarf stars
I repeatedly try to fix my past mistakes before they happen
and each subsequent failure causes more rips in reality
monsters bleed from the heavens
people disappear
I knew better than to wreak havoc
with physics
Maybe next
time
I will
get it right
