Notes About The Poem

Time

Time flows
Sometimes slow
Sometimes fast.

Do you believe that?
Time flows regularly.
Like the pendulum
Of a perfectly aligned
Old Large 19th Century
Mahogany 8 Day Arch Dial
Longcase Grandfather Clock.
Yet time is relative.

If you are happy
It seems to go fast
Like a sailing boat
With winds that blows and drives
All sailing boats.

If you are sad then
No wind blows.
The boat is stuck nowhere
In mid ocean
And worry erupts.

Hello Victor, I enjoyed reading this piece, or as you say scribble it’s beautifully written and full of truths. Loved it. Have a great day, my friend.

Yes, time is not uniform in its gliding. When happy, time moves so fast. When we are sad, it stands still. Minutes will seem eons! Yours is not a poor scribble, but a beautiful poem. Dear Victor, feel assured.

Dear Victor, this is not a poor scribble. You write brilliantly, please acknowledge that. I truly think that you write like a professional poet. This poem is genuinely genius. The metaphors and the imagery is particularly strong. I always enjoy reading your work. Best, Anne

Please delete poor scribble, it is a poor untruth! The last 2 stanzas are right on, adults (regrettably some kids) all feel those lines. The clock description caught my attention because of the 'delicious' details; you either have one, are well-versed on clocks or other(?) I've been off Soup for a good week. Nice to be here, with you, reading. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

I still enjoy what you call a poor scribble! Loved seeing the 24 hour clock! I helped my sister with her business, off site, yesterday. Had so much fun. From 12:30-6:30 flew so fast!!
