Time
"Clocks slay time ... time is dead as long as it is
being clicked off by little wheels; only when the
clock stops does time come to life." William Faulkner
A lifetime starts its passage
at the first moment of birth
when a clock starts ticking-
for time is measured as such-
on this, our earthly, human, world.
Recorded in those moments
the past, present, and future-
until, one day, the beat stops-
with our corporal, infinite death-
to start a timeless, eternal, rebirth.
