Notes About The Poem

Time

There's nothing quite like
              fond reflection in solitude

                As my thoughts swung
            like a pendulum from past
           to present not so long ago,
     I revisited various stages of my life.

                 I took time savoring 
              a cherished moment
          I wish I could recapture again.
               'Twas so precious when...

                  my better half and I
                     first exchanged
                        "I love you." 
                      Unforgettable!

                  So lost was I recalling 
            that special, romantic moment
       the world around me ceased to exist;
  it came to a standstill! So deep in reverie...

        I heard not the sounds of infinite
          ticking of the clock on the wall.
           A moment that will forever hold
            an eternal place in my heart

               There's nothing quite like
