Tidings Within a Soul

A mirror once said:
" A scheme has been made
Upon the world that needs aid
Where a disease has been spread
And cure is so easy to get
Just by thinking deep into one's mind"

Researches quickly began
Since the letter was heard
But, the cure was never found...
Years passed and many forgot
About everything that was done

Oneday, a boy approached
The mirror that once spoke
Dust covered its face
And, with the boy's hand
Swept it away

Once again the mirror began to talk
" My boy," said the mirror
" The disease had been spread
Around the world as I've said
None found out what it is
But you, my boy, have the cure
For you have come back to me
Swept the dust away and made me free
If you realized, you have not forgotten
  The letter I've said before
You have come back and remembered
About me, a mirror, where I'm nothing compared to the rest."

Days passed and the boy discovered the disease
The disease that spread around is...
Forgetting About One...

You see, many wanted to know the cure once they heard
So,search had been made and giving up occurred
Then, the tale was forgotten and carelessness spread
As a result, the disease of forgetting reached upon
And the cure, ready to fight, was within everyone
Yet, it never took flight and soared into the air

Never forget what passed in life
For it is a disease resulting in losing someone
By simply forgetting the moments spent together
And the picture of you and them vanishes into eternity

The mirror was a simple example
About how many people turn their backs to others and...
Walk away, never looking back...
