Being a boater, I am quite aware of the tides. It really is a fascinating phenomenon. Great job, Jan! Good luck in the contest :)

Thanks Laura it is fascinating except when we get VERY high tides and there are properties that have been flooded in recent years - in the North of the Island it was so bad in one place there was a man canoeing along the high street - but this is thankfully rare! hugs Jan xx

Very good subject for Kim M's contest, Jan. Your words strongly summon the image of the sea and its crashing waves only to recede again. A beauty!
