Tick -..Tock
I’m no stranger to hard times, they seem to always live next door to me,
No matter where I’m at they follow very close you see.
But as of late they seem to be removing the food from my plate,
I don’t mind sharing, but they are quite demanding and will not wait.
I don’t know who controls what anymore,
Since we started buying most of our crude from foreign shores.
It’s like we are their puppets and they pull our strings,
Or to our shores no more crude will they bring.
It was the good old U.S. of A. that put them where they are today,
Our technology, our equipment, and mostly our money is all I’ve got to say.
For more than twenty years, I was one of the guys that worked those drilling rigs both
near and far.
It is quite possible I helped put gas in your truck or car.
I feel we are being let down by the leaders of this land,
Almost like being on a sinking ship, and they don’t seem to understand.
I’m not angry nor am I mad, worried and concerned would best describe my state of mind,
And I ask for a leader with honest vision, to reestablish Americas values and pray to God
that He be kind.
The majority of Americans still trust in God and would like to see Him placed at the top
of the page,
But somehow the minority rules on this democratic stage.
It makes me sick to see our country giving in to gays and such,
Seems we’ve lost our way, gotten out of touch.
These things are an abomination by Gods own words,
Remember Sodom and Gomorrah or haven’t you heard.
