Thunderstorms

I shutter the windows and secure the doors and seal myself in inner rooms far from the booms the flashes the shivering static that shoots through the air on these summer afternoons when no one is here.

In your poem, I like the destabilizing fear thunderstorms induce, juxtaposed with the need to shutter one's self safely away. Best wishes, Brian

Thank you, Brian. Much appreciated. It's true that I still shutter myself inside when I hear thunder approaching!
