Throwing In the Towel

Time comes when you "toss in the towel" Considering your life’s work as finished, You can go out with a satisfied growl Or, attempt to have your work refinished. Either way you know you have succeeded For you followed your gut’s inclinations, You listened to advice, most cases heeded Hopefully, you left a few good impressions.

Hello Milton ... it's the way we treat others that leave the biggest impressions. We need to be helpful and positive for the greater good - another wise poem from your pen Milton - Lindsay

If you take a bite out of life it will definitely leave an impression....I like this Milton, a nice sentiment and a lofty goal.

I'm with Jeff Milton, don't even go there, nothing a couple of weeks in the sunshine state won't sort out. Tom

Let's hope so, Tom. I dipped into the blues today for some reason or another. Not to worry. I'm still going to be here!

Your work's not done here, buddy! Don't you be packing yet. There's plenty here who heed your words, Your sun is high, not set! Keep cranking out the humor And all the good advice, So pick that towel up off the floor, And don't even think twice!

Aw, thanks for the encouragement, Jeff. I needed that verbal hug. I'm having a down day with my SADD (seasonal affective disease disorder). I need a vacation. Leaving for two weeks day after tomorrow. I'm doing fine. Again, thank you!
