Through the Night

More than anything
I hope I can be
Someone God sees
As worthy of His care
Someone God knows
As a light He can use
Shining through the dark
Of another’s bruise

I’ve often seen how the most effective "answered prayers" aren't grand miracles, but simply the quiet awareness of someone else's struggle the "light that is aware," as you put it.
