Through My Window

through my window I watch for signs of her but my muse cannot be seen in starkly barren trees I thought I caught a glimpse of my beloved in a winter dove’s white breast but then she soared away Written 1/20/14 by Andrea Dietrich for nette onclaud's Through My Window poetry contest (double kimo)

Ah to catch a glimpse of a muse. What a treat. Which of the nine daughters of Zeus were you looking for? They can be allusive and suffocating. I talk to them often down by the river. ~Kilmer

Yes, musing through the window. I can identify completely. Just wrote one to precede V day that would go along with yours. Love, daver

This is lovely! If your muse can't be seen, then you must be out playing in the trees with her.

Hi Andrea. I can only deduce that use of a title - The Owl and the Pussy Cat, by Eugene Field - is against some law.. If use of the word pussy has been taken to mean something sexual I say this is ludicrous. I mean to contact the soup and ask them what the hell is going on. Thanks, daver

no it did not get a win. She took issue with it using two syllables for beloved instead of three.
