Through Hours of Rain

through hours of rain

   nightfall bursts with mint scent

      as pines droop low…

         my farewell walk trembles

in the vault of moonglow

Wow! This tanka is pulsing and so real. One can almost hear the raindrops tapping along with the unsteady footsteps.
