Threefold Moment
I went to church with my daughter and her family
soon after my mom died. I sat between my two grandkids—
one in kindergarten and the other in middle school.
THREEFOLD MOMENT
fractals of my heart,
schematic of special moment,
illuminated as i breathe.
i kiss my fingers
touch his knee, his elbow,
his chin— boo boos
pointed out by him.
his warm lips
touch his fingertips,
land on my heart.
God told him so—
whisper of an angel
or a strong current
protracted by God,
straight to my favorites
this threefold moment
between me, my
six year old grandson
and Comforter God.
