Three Poems For One Day
Serious Is a Love Sick Clown
Ignorance is the lock
Knowledge is the key
Love is blind
Marriage sees
You can't change who you are
You can change what you will be
Little by Little
Equals more and more
Circles lead to before
Giving up leads to falling down
Serious is a lovesick clown
Too Dang Happy
It makes me mad to see others overly glad
It is just so awful sappy
When people get too dang happy
Moderation in all things
Exaggeration floods into boring pain
Enjoy it somehow without goofy shame
Irritating loud laughter all the blame
Shrill of silly
Gives me the willy
Tone it down
Into a frown
Then let me smile
For awhile
Turn the Dial
Brother, you preach it, I'll teach it and together they shall reach it
Slow down that gypsy soul
Let the truth, root and grow
Anything you need to know
You knew before you were ten years old
Hallelujah say Amen
Sister Mary raise those hands
Nothing goes as we plan
Bless a dollar shake a hand
Lift me up, bring me down
The Holy Land is sacred ground
Anything you seek has been found
Just to be sure look around
Father, Mother beaming proud
Shout the joy clear and loud
Something good is coming now
The remote is lost, turn the dial
