Three Little Words

Three Little Words I know that I, cannot say, “I know how to love” And yet I heard quite enough In three little words I almost, gave, up myself I had had enough A simple show of kindness Easing me: My worth When all I felt was painful I was so alone Everyone seemed, turned around No one knows a thing As my eye-wells filled with tears I was on my own Then I saw three little words Lipped; but still they sing The way you feel about me Matters not, in truth You cared enough in kindness Saved a soul in need You gave yourself: Love ensued A debt; you refused For I will pay someone who All you’ve done for me You have taught me how to love Grateful; you had cared And I, will always love you Simple, words to say I wonder where I would be If you weren’t to share In your eyes your heart was true Asked: "Are you okay?" © 2018 Jeffrey Spencer .
