Three Dreams
For three nights now you've entered my dream.
A glowing soul of mysterious light.
Strands of fire about your face ignite
The Girdle of Venus. I sometimes gleam
The slightest notion of where you exist,
The odor of your skin and your true name.
On your ivory altar you set the flame
to my mind, my heart. I cannot resist.
Your stars pierce the heavens to look at me.
Blue orbs of heat a million miles away.
Through the dark of space in my sleep to stay.
Those eyes that can outshine the pleiades.
I can only look up to see your face.
I must now search all: outer, inner space.
