Notes About The Poem

Joseph's Threading the Line Contest  4/16/25

Threading Moonlight Through Poetry

Mystical is my attraction to moonlight
Luna's soft glow is an inspiration for love
Sonnets of romantic lines in rhyme to write
Silver orb resting in celestial skies high above
Revelations of her beauty when she takes flight
Stars surrounding her as lustrous petals of foxglove

*Harrisham Rhyme Form with the scheme ababab
in which the last letter of the first word of each line
is the first letter of the first word of the next line

Congratulations on your top win dear poetess with an imaginative write on threading moonlight with poetry in a very skilful way. May the Light that shines from above ever rest with you to illuminate your path.

Lin, I like how you tried out this form for this contest. It's a great description of the precious aspects of our co-planet. We call it a moon, but observers from space might picture it differently. I prefer the way you look at it! Smiles!

Oh dear linnersz This one resonates with my heart, and i love how youv presented too with the picture and how your lines flow from one to another! While paying attention to the letters and also rhyme scheme. I would like to challenge myself to try this form too! I especially love the way you’ve written “ Stars surrounding her as lustrous petals of foxglove” your use of foxglove there, i truly loved! Such a gorgeous take this is! I would love to try a moon one too! Best wishes! Sending you light

You are a light unto yourself, Ink. You can write of the moon, stars and you've written of flowers as if you live in a garden bower, so write of flowers and gems and celestial things. It's your forte' to create beautiful poetry to match what you hold inside of you.

Looks a tricky form Lin, nothing beats the moon for inspiration, it inspired you well. Good luck in the contest. Tom
