Thoughts On How Far the Rabbit Hole Goes
Broken hearts
And hurt memories
To the poor sap which these
Things are inflicted
I feel no pity for those
In small cities
For those who are so
Restricted.
Kindness kills
And hate threatens all
Tears and sorrow
Don’t look so appalled
These things live in the past
Independence, pride
These things last
Don’t try to hide
The feelings that call
Out to you at night
You wonder why
I’m always right.
Deep eyes and deep souls
Have no end
Only deep thoughts
Should have to pretend
Realizing you must understand
Before you can know
How far does the rabbit hole go?
