THOUGHTS AND ACTIONS

“The future depends on what you do today.” Mahatma Gandhi

Karma lacks starts and stops, it smoothly flows
despite the weight of its countless knots.
Karma’s rewards and smacks continuously update.

Newborns arrive as fresh love, unable to best the
tainting set to trap their fresh suppressed.
While our days amass years, they unfold both tangible
                                  and invisible fragmental life earnings.
Be it positive or negative, we all realize a return on
                            thoughts formed and verbally formalized.
Young children should learn thoughts mind held and
grown have persuasion capabilities that garner
fulfillment in life and / or times of strife.
We should also teach our young
              to discern negative from positive
actions and what each gains in
traction towards future joy and / or pain.

Wake each morn forewarned that all you do and say sets the stage for your future days. What each generation of man put in motion was also absorbed and set on course to blend with our intent for a manifestation of the future's presentation.

A very thoughtful free verse, Caycay. I'm trying to think what I wrote for this one. Can't even remember right now. Love how you pattern your lines here too.

Dearest CayCay, excellent poem you've penned. Some parents don't deserve children when they can't teach them the most basic human morals. So many lives get destroyed just because of bad parenting. Brilliant poem. Best, Anne

Yes, what we think, do, and say, sets the stage for our future, and I think children learn from our examples. Excellent thought-provoking poem!

Such lovely piece CayCay! Children should be taught to be children but also understand that life is lived in phases and the trick is to enjoy each stage but be prepared to conquer our next and enjoy it as much as we did the last one! lol did that make sense? Haha! Children are but small adults in a way and what they learn is how they will be:) I’m rambling so sorry:) loved your words!

This is so true, CayCay. A lot of parents don't teach their children anything. I love your viewpoints on Karma. I love the language of the poem as well. <3

Wise words to live by. Indeed, the sins of the fathers are revisited by the sons. Truth be told, we are our own fathers and our own Sons. Division is an illusion of negative consciousness. What we do to the earth...we do to ourselves. What we do to one another...we do to ourselves. No escaping Karma. What we put out, we will attract. Make one's outward flow that of abiding love...and the universe will reciprocally rejoice. Wonderful poem!

It's not crystal clear but I seem to recall one of my first comments to you suggested we might be like-minded? Am I making that up? It's cool if I am, my imagination as combined with my memory is a bratty presence that no longer surprises me, in fact, I totally go for the humor. Thanks for reading, Joe and if it resonated as it appears to have, we ARE like-minded, will you be the one responsible for remembering that? Laugh CayCay
