Thought You Had It All

You were just another player
On the merry go round of life
You thought you had it all

Never thought the ride would stop
You never saw it coming
The abrupt halt and
Your world crumbling down

Left with nothing but old fantasies
Vanishing like sand through your fingers
Left with nothing but delusions

Devastation and fake friends who never call
Alone facing the bitter fear that
You’ll end your days flying solo
